ORIGIN: 1925-30; social + ite®. 1928, probably a coinage among writers and editors at "Time" magazine, perhaps as a contraction of social light, in imitation of words in –ite.

Socialites are interesting, mysterious, personable, creative and held to high standards. They stay in the know by keeping their eyes and ears peeled to the streets (well, the world for that matter); using their gifts, talents and skills to contribute as unique assets to society.

The Socialite is an individual, regardless of demographic or socioeconomics that participates in social activities- disbursing their time in the likes of events, entertainment and community up-builders.

The Austin Socialite was created with the purest intentions to bring organization to Austin's nightlife, so that locals and out of towners could conveniently access daily hotspots. Terry Pierre is President and Co-Founder of The Austin Socialite. Hard work, dedication and a bright smile are her keys to success. She definitely plays as hard as she works; as she enjoys culture, traveling, writing and a downright good time. An alumni of The University of Texas, though she knew very early in life that entrepreneurship would be her only pathway, especially being a free spirit and innovator. Born and ordained into leadership as the oldest of 3. Family and friendship are her most sacred possessions. She strives to continually learn, grow and prosper, while basking in all the exquisiteness that living has to offer.

Creative Director

Ashton Isabella Alexandria Deary, is a Native Austinite who lives, breathes, and sleeps her city. She traveled to Atlanta Georgia, to pursue her undergraduate degree from Clark Atlanta University where she got her first taste of on-air corresponding. While in Atlanta, Ashton started a small event planning business, starred in various stage productions, and mastered the art of effective party going. After graduation, Ashton returned to Austin and jumped at the opportunity to show the world why she loved Austin so much and expose Austin natives and transplants alike the many flavors the capitol city has to offer. Enter.....The Austin Socialite.com. Ashton goes where she wants to go, meets who she wants to meet, and does what she wants to do and she will not rest until the whole world is singing her songs and remembers to Keep Austin Social!

Born on September 19th, in the hype of the mid- 80's, I began my life adventure in the magnificent city of Austin, Texas by ways of the Caribbean islands. My mother Wendy Nassour, whom is a Trinidad and Tobago native, immediately taught me and my two sisters Terry and Deneisia Pierre, to appreciate the values of all different cultures. Austin has completed my personality to being a music-lover, a food enthusiast, and a socially active individual. I love to travel all over the world just to meet new people and learn more about what the world has to offer. As the Social Network and Marketing Executive of The Austin Socialite, my goal is to actively connect with every one of all ages, demographics, and social groups! I am a socialite because I adapt to any environment by just being me! I also express the strong love and passion I have for people.
